When I first started working on our company's e-commerce platform, I realized that integrating Stripe for payment processing was essential. In this article, I'll share my experience of building a complete Stripe integration with Laravel and React, including the challenges we faced and the solutions we implemented.
Setting Up Stripe with Laravel
The first step was to set up Stripe with our Laravel application. I installed the stripe/stripe-php package using Composer and configured the Stripe API keys in our environment variables. Then, I created a new Stripe customer when a user signed up for our platform, and updated their subscription status when they upgraded or downgraded their plan.
